If you do decide to make your own, you will need anywhere from 80 to 150 diapers, depending on the size you want; tape or string to secure the diapers; several yards of ribbon; and an assortment of toys, clothes, bottles, and various accessories to dress it up. Then you will need to tightly roll each diaper and secure it with a small piece of tape before arranging them in the shape of a cake. It can be quite tricky the first few times you make one, so you may want to plan to make a couple as prototypes before you make the final masterpiece.
